#Everydaymatters Week Four

It was a Bug’s Life this week in my sketchbook!

For my Every Day Matters Sketchbook, I use the Global Arts Square Notebook – just a little 6″x6″ I can carry around with me and my beloved Pitt Pens by Faber Castell. I don’t typically draw in pencil first – I go straight for the ink and embrace my mistakes! For my watercolors, I use the Schmincke Horadam Watercolor Set but you don’t have to go right for the pricey ones at first.  The Sakura Koi Watercolor Set is the perfect size to carry around and is not a huge investment.  Plus it has purple which most sets don’t, so that’s always a good thing!

Oh how I love to draw bugs. They are very colorful, each with different shapes and most serve a great purpose in life pollinating and becoming food for our earth’s music – birds. I think I’m colorful, have had many shapes LOL, have finished pollinating and will also become food – for thought. Your sketchbook is just full of wonder and I bet you have a great time looking through it to see what you did and remember when you did it and with whom. Art is such a relaxing activity and your sketches remind me every time of the joy and purpose of taking time for myself. Thank you!
